Cornerstone

Made from either solid 925 sterling silver or Argentium, Cornerstone is hand cast, sanded and polished to produce the highest quality outcome. This piece plays on the classic and wearable rectangle design of a flat top ring with a twist.
 
The divots, softened corners and boxy top is emblematic of a stone. The intention behind this design was to draw on the metaphor of Jesus being the Cornerstone, an idea frequent throughout the Bible. Cornerstones were essential in the history of buildings as they lined up the building. If the cornerstone was misaligned, the building would be as well. It also acted as stability, being the bottom stone and the foundation on which the building stands. This acts as a reminder of 2 things:
 
1. Jesus is someone that is a firm foundation, that if we build our life on Him, we gain a level of stability in life that is unshakable
 
2. He is the only perfect cornerstone, that if we build our life on anything else, our lives will be misaligned
